Hrithik Roshan Could Be Jailed For 10 Years If Kangana Wins The Legal Battle

There’s no doubt that the entire Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut case has blown out of proportion. Legal notices, nasty comments, venomous tweets, blame games – the two have officially done everything to make a total public mockery of themselves. In fact because they chose the legal route and slapped notices on each other, Hrithik Roshan could end up in jail for 10 (yes!) years if Kanagana Ranaut manages to win the battle. While Hrithik had slapped a notice on Kangana for defamation, Kangana had retaliated with a notice accusing him of threat and intimidation.

Kangana’s lawyer, Rizwan Siddiquee had recently explained that Hrithik could be jailed for 10 years under section Section 67 – Publishing of Information which is obscene in electronic form – of IPC. Siddiquee further went on to say that Hrithik could also be charged with sections Section 499 and 500 (Defamation and the subsequent Punishment) and Section 506 (Punishment of Criminal Intimidation to impute unchastity to a woman) of IPC.

Phew! Things are definitely not looking bright for Hrithik.

Meanwhile, reports are also suggesting that both the actors now want to put an end to their feud and move on. Both Kangana Ranaut and Hrithik Roshan recently said there is a need for a closure to the matter which has turned “ugly”.

Kangana’s lawyer Rizwan Siddiquee added, “It has all gone ugly. Their (from Hrithik’s side) statement is subdued… he (Hrithik) is deviating from the matter. We are waiting for their next move. But we want the matter to end soon.

Hrithik’s lawyer Dipesh Mehta echoed the same thoughts, “We would just request the police to speed up the matter (with regard to fake email account in Hrithik’s name). We hope it will end soon.”

Well, we hope so too.’
