15 Of The Most-Loved Tech CEOs In 2016
Getting a plus-90% approval rating from your employees is surely an achievement. And many CEOs from the technology industry have accomplished this feat. According to the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards announced recently, several CEOs from the industry rank among the top 50 ‘Highest-rated CEOs’ list.
The rankings are based on feedback received from employees on the Glassdoor website between May 2 2015 and May 1 2016. So, here’s over to America’s most-loved technology CEOs for the year 2016 (top 15).
1. Scott Scherr, Ultimate Software
Topping the list with 99% approval rating is Scott Scherr CEO of Ultimate Software. The company develops and sells cloud-based human capital management solutions. Scherr ranked at No. 5 in the Best CEOs rating in 2015.
2. Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook
The second-most loved technology CEO on the Glassdoor is Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. The CEO of the world’s largest social network, Zuckerberg topped the rankings in the year 2013. He ranked at No. 10 in the year 2014 and at No. 5 in 2015.
3. Jeff Weiner, LinkedIn
With 97% emnployee approval ratings, LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner is the third technology CEO on the list. Weiner topped the list in the year 2014 and was ranked at No. 12 in the year 2015. LinkedIn was recently acquired by software giant Microsoft for $26.2 billion.
4. Marc Benioff, Salesforce
Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff ranks at No. 4 among technology CEOs with 97% employee rating. A regular among the ‘highest-rated CEOs’, he ranked at No. 13 for two consecutive years 2013 and 2014. In the year 2015, Benioff ranked at No. 21.
5. Sundar Pichai, Google
India-born Google CEO Sundar Pichai is next on the list with 96% employee approval rating. Pichai became CEO of the search giant in August last year.
6. Tim Cook, Apple
Apple CEO Tim Cook is the sixth ‘Most-loved’ technology CEO on the list with 96% employee approval rating. Cook has been part of the ‘highest-rated CEOs’ rankings in 2013, 2014 and 2015 as well.
7. Jim Whitehurst, Redhat
Jim Whitehurst, the CEO of opensource software company Redhat, is next CEO on the list from the IT industry. With 96% employee rating, Whitehurst is a first timer on the list.
8. John Legere, TMobile
TMobile CEO John Legere get 95% approval rating from employees. Legere ranked at No. 14 in the ‘Highest-rated CEOs’ list in the year 2015.
9. Jack Little, MathWorks
MathWorks CEO Jack Little is next technology CEO on the list. As per Glassdoor survey, he received 95% employee approval rating. MathWorks specialises in mathematical computing software. The company’s key products include MATLAB and Simulink.
10. Aron J Ain, Kronos Incorporated
Kronos CEO Aron J Ain is the tenth technology CEO on the list with 95% employee rating. The company with clients in over 100 countries across the world speciailises in workforce management solutions.
11. Shantanu Narayen, Adobe
Adobe’s India-born CEO Shantanu Narayen is next on the list with 95% employee approval ratings. Last year, Narayen ranked at No. 47.
12. Dara Khosrowshahi, Expedia
Expedia’s Iranian American businessman Dara Khosrowshahi is the next technology CEO on the list with 95% employee approval rating.
13. Spencer Rascoff, Zillow
Zillow’s Spencer Rascoff also finds a place among the ‘highest-rated CEOs’ with 94% employee approval rating. Founded in 2006, Zillow is an online real estate database company.
14. Rami Rahim, Juniper Networks
Juniper Networks’ Rami Rahim is the next CEO on the Glassdoor’s list with 94% employee approval rating.
15. Bill McDermott, SAP
German software giant SAP’s Bill McDermott ranks as the 15th technology CEO on the list. McDermott gets an employee approval rating of 94%.
